- Look, he has his moments, but Aoiyama might need to retire soon. He’s literally falling apart.

- You know, I usually find Mitakeumi kind of bland, but he’s really spiced things up this basho
- Sometimes you just know how a match will go. This is one of those times. I mean, a 9:1 ratio of wins to losses is kind of a strong trend.

- While Enhou lost by uwatehineri, it’s actually a fairly close bout
- I look up to Enhou – no matter how big the foe or how unlikely a victory may be, he gives everything his all. He’s super inspiring!

- With as much rest as Myougiryuu has gotten this basho because of sick or inured opponents, I’d expect more stability from him.

- I like both these guys, though Ryuuden has been faltering more than I like to see.
- A very, very late matta. Is that the same ref who took a tumble?

- Finally a tachiai, and both men are furious
- Ryuuden’s long legs betray him, giving Goueidou the perfect leverage to beat him by uwatenage for his kachikoshi.
